We offer several extra curricular enrichment programmes - Olympiads, Debating, Literary Clubs and more.
Literary Club
The AEC Literary Club is an unconventional book club where students not only read an amalgamation of widespread genres but also analyse and evaluate the books through several activities. Through hands-on activities such as summary writing, narrative-building, plot and progression and disintegration, character-analysis and a breakdown of literary devices and conventions, the literary club aims to enhance their understanding of the book, equipping them with the skill of literary analysis for the future.
News Bulletins
To inculcate the habit of news reading and comprehending, AEC began hosting news bulletins- an unconventional approach to absorbing recent and dated news events with a present-day focus. These sessions provide age-appropriate exposure to relevant news events. They are easy-to-absorb, follow an immersive structure and encourage important conversations, increasing the child's awareness on how global, national and local news events impact their surroundings.
Olympiad Preparation
Built to prepare your child to excel in the Olympiads, these sessions focus not only on building subject-specific knowledge but also enhance the skills that are tested by these assessments. These sessions ensure that your child is well-equipped and confident to answer all Olympiad questions, whether they are knowledge based or HOTS questions.
Debate and MUN
In the modern world, students are highly encouraged to develop public speaking skills, critical thinking, research and persuasion skills. Such skills prove immensely helpful at any stage of life. AEC's debating and MUNing sessions hone these skills in the child, ensuring that they become compelling, confident individuals with their own perspectives and opinions.
Confidence & Communication Enrichment
Considered one of the most important 'soft skills' in today's world and on the AEC platform, these sessions aim to improve a child's confidence in social and professional settings. By working on the quality of their communication, the student feels more self-assured when interacting in varied situations, therefore, resulting in eloquent individuals who find it easy to put their point across. These sessions are designed to enable students to be: a) Confident in their speech delivery through appropriate verbal structuring of sentences. b) Clear in their communication by learning the 101s of inter and intra-personal communication. c) Self-assured in their decision-making helping them in their day-to-day choices, examinations and co-curricular activities.
Masterclasses
These are in-depth one-off sessions that provide a foundational understanding of topics through activity and case study-based learning approaches. Case-study learning plays a significant role in these sessions to ensure that the child understands the real-life application of the topic in subjects ranging from Economics to English.
